Miek & Roel have been making music together for 45 years. In the very beginning they were accompanied by Roland Van Campenhout and they have always remained committed singers, but chansons are also part of the repertoire. Stimulated by the success of their 3-part CD box '40 years of Miek & Roel', released at the end of 2005, Miek & Roel decided a few years ago to record a brand new CD. It became 'Chasing the Titanic'. Fourteen songs with lyrics by Johan Verminnen, Gerry De mol, Kris De Bruyne and Roel himself. A new fresh sound without forgetting the acoustic references. In 2010 they have been on stage together for 45 years and they celebrate with a unique concert in hometown Ghent. They bring along some guest singers, Eva De Roovere, Jean Blaute, Mathias SercuandRoland, who will undoubtedly provide surprising interpretations of their songs!
