Marina Celeste Anton Walgrave

Marina Celeste

In 2004, Marina Celeste met composer and producer Marc Collin. With her sensual voice, the artistic color palette in her music and her intense lyrics, she managed to win Collin over. He promptly invited her to sing with the French lounge band Nouvelle Vague. The general public immediately embraced Marina Celeste because of her special view of the world, poetic lyrics, apparent innocence and wonderful melancholy.

At the end of February 2007, her first solo album 'Acidulé' was released. “Eleven self-written songs that fall somewhere between the sultry exoticism of Nouvelle Vague and the titillating chanson of the young Serge Gainsbourg. Unadulterated retro pop, in short, with a high lolita content and a thin layer of melancholy around it,” says Bart Steenhaut of De Morgen. Anton Walgrave

Anton Walgrave no longer has to convince us of his abilities . The singer-songwriter already visited the Handelsbeurs in 2006 and that concert is still etched in our memories. Call it a very pleasant introduction to an exceptional Belgian talent. Anton Walgrave decided at the age of five that he would become a singer and determinedly recorded his first demo cassette at the age of nine. He has now made his dream come true. He writes beautiful lyrics and sets them to music that has influences from pop, blues, soul, jazz and funk. Think of Ryan Adams, David Gray, Ben Christophers, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin, but slightly different.
