Machtelinckx, Badenhorst, Jensson & Wouters / Duo Emile Parisien (sax) & Vincent Peirani (accordeon)

Over the past few years, guitarist Ruben Machtelinckx turned into one of Belgium’s most remarkable jazz musicians. His focus: veiled melancholy and a layered dream world. With this quartet, he has released two albums, both of which were received with equal measures of enthusiasm by press and public alike. It proves that with patience, introspection and evocative music, you can achieve a great deal. The duo Emile Parisien and Vincent Peirani is known as one of the great talents of French jazz: a combination of jazz and folk, with an intoxicating quirkiness.
