Luis “el Zambo” was born on September 26, 1949 into a fishing family, a profession he also practiced before breaking through in the flamenco world. As a singer, he belongs to a select group of artists who base themselves on the purest and ancient tradition of the Cante Gitano and therefore developed a very authentic style of expression.
