The Trade Fair season starts with an example of the better crossover. Zefiro Torna, Traces (Philippe Laloy) and Amorroma take you back to the Middle Ages with the program 'Les Tisserands'. Zefiro Torna is an epoque company with the Renaissance as its literal and figurative center. Philippe Laloy is a jazz saxophonist and flautist. In addition to being a palindrome, Amorroma is also a folk group that makes its own music, with roots in many European traditions. The program, the premiere and recording of which is presented here, is called 'Les Tisserands'. It is the name for a 12th and 13th century Cathar religious movement. Catharism wanted to return to the mystical purity of the first Christians and openly opposed the institution of the Catholic Church. The name Amorroma is somewhat central in this program. Amor and roma are not only each other's typographical mirror images, for the medieval Cathars these words meant love and power. In their philosophy these concepts were at odds with each other. The Cathars were persecuted as heretics and destroyed in Monségur, Occitania in 1244. After that there were only the stories told by troubadours, writers, poets and singers. Zefiro Torna, Amorroma and Laloy will pick them up for us.
