Leila Josefowicz is not your average star violinist. Although she made her debut in 1994 with Tchaikovsky’s concerto at Carnegie Hall, conducted by Sir Neville Marriner she quickly broadened her horizons. She developed her interest in jazz and improvisation and became a protagonist of contemporary music. Celebrities like John Adams, Thomas Adès and Esa Pekka Salonen have composed works for her.
