Lady Linn & Her Magnificent Seven

When Lady Linn and her Magnificent Seven released their first single 'Shopping', the song immediately received a lot of attention on the radio. Her first CD performance (the album 'Here We Go Again') took place here at the Handelsbeurs in February 2008 and was released in March of that year.

The new album entitled 'No Goodbye at All' will be released in Belgium on April 29. "It has become a pop record," said Lady Linn about the new record she recorded with her Magnificent Seven. Which immediately brings out the high word: P-O-P! Lady Linn: "The swing jazz of my debut album 'Here We Go Again' was an adventure, a spontaneous inspiration. Because that was not a trendy sound at all. But the fact that that album was such a success has only strengthened my self-confidence: I From now on, follow my intuition completely."

And her intuition said: pop. Just don't think of the obvious trendy electro or synth pop, but of a rich and warm pop sound with horns, drums and piano, influenced by the most diverse genres. Because in addition to success - the Eddy Grant cover 'I Don't Wanna Dance' became a hit, 'Here We Go Again' from 2008 was good for platinum with 30,000 copies and Lady Linn also won the MIA for two consecutive years. Best Female Singer won - Lady Linn has also tasted many musical styles over the past two years. From the soul of Irma Thomas to the baroquely arranged sixties songs of Louis Neefs ('Jennifer Jennings'!), from the close harmonies of the Beach Boys to Brazilian bossa nova and even a dash of bluegrass country: Lady Linn has had the most explored and absorbed various musical styles to pour them into eleven sparkling songs on 'No Goodbye at All'.

'No Goodbye at All' was recorded in Paris, in Studio Ferber, under the auspices of the famous producer Renaud Letang, known for his sheet metal work with, among others, Jane Birkin, Feist, Mocky and Jamie Lidell. Lady Linn 'Very funny, every record that I thought sounded really good in recent years, Feist, Jamie Lidell and especially that of Mocky, turned out to be produced by Renaud Letang. So I had to ask him to produce my second album, because it was exactly his minimalist, yet soulful sound that I was looking for for my new songs.'

The successor to the successful album 'Here We Go Again' has become an album that is as fresh as it is authentic, with songs that sometimes sing about the most ecstatic zest for life, and at other times explore melancholy.

Sherman is the alter ego of the Belgian singer-songwriter Steven Bossuyt. Sherman's story all started with Steven's irresistible urge to write songs. This resulted in a collaboration with good friend and drummer, David Demeyere.

After a number of solo performances in Belgium and the United Kingdom, Sherman moved to London, where he became a tiny apartment to further refine his songs and test them on the live circuit. The first single 'On Your Side' was immediately picked up by BBC radio in London and domestically by Studio Brussels.
