Flamenco diva Tomasa Guerrero Carrasco 'La Macanita' has the traditional gypsy canta in her blood. In her home town, flamenco was like oxygen in the air and La Macanita inherited an unmistakable gypsy voice from her father. She made her debut under the wing of Manuel Morao, the artistic father of an entire generation of flamenco talent. La Macanita is almost unique in its performance: no concessions or experiments with modern influences, but a pure, traditional cante gitano. The 'sonidos negros' of La Macanita are a tribute to the essence of flamenco and she also stands alone when it comes to 'cante jondo'. This concert is the opportunity to get to know one of the most important interpreters of cante flamenco.
