La Hispanoflamenca: 'Navidad'

LA HISPANOFLAMENCA: 'NAVIDAD!'

La Hispanoflamenca brings together talent from Spain and Flanders and unites the qualities of a good Rioja and an aged Flemish gin. The driving force behind this ensemble, specialized in Flemish-Spanish music from the 16th and 17th centuries, is the singer, conductor and composer Bart Vandewege, who lives in Spain. With premiere recordings of work by the forgotten composer Pedro Rimonte, La Hispanoflamenca achieved international acclaim. ¡Navidad! consists of lesser-known Christmas music from the Spanish Renaissance, with compositions by, among others, Mateo Flecha, Juan del Encina, Francisco Guerrero and Tomás Luis the Victoria, in combination with many unpretentious but moving songs by anonymous masters of that time. About angels, shepherds, sheep and the child who is so thirsty. The common thread is the folk, Spanish poetry that describes the Christmas event so colorfully, for this occasion in Spanish and Dutch. For young and old, señoras y señores. A warm note in cold times...

After this matinee concert (3 p.m.), with the support of Huize Colette and Brasserie HA', we offer all concert visitors a free piece of cake and a hot drink.
