K's Choice: 'The Backpack Sessions'

BROTHER AND SISTER IN DUO

In 2015, Sarah and Gert Bettens surprised music-loving Flanders with a more than solid rock album The Phantom Cowboy, which was almost unanimously regarded as the best album of their oeuv was labeled.

For the 'Backpack Sessions' the two dive into their richly filled backpack of tasteful songs, old and new, supplemented with a number of beautiful and surprising covers. A brother-sister combination unique in Belgium.

THE PHANTOM

Alain Johannes, a regular companion of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, took over the production of The Phantom on his behalf and willingly added a delicious grunge sauce. No fewer than five singles managed to brighten up the playlists of many radio stations and the band also did well on the live circuit.

HET DUO

But anyone who knows the basic duo of K's Choice knows that brother and sister have two musical faces. While the band, in full formation, can rock as if its life depends on it, Sarah and Gert have also proven in the past that they can take on a more intimate tour with the greatest of ease.
