Kraakpand is a musical journey that takes you through different music genres in one evening. In this ’jamming squat‘ four bands share the stage and play their songs in turn. For the occasion, the Handelsbeurs will be set up like an intimate music club where you will sit amidst the musicians.

A SQUATER’S ROMANCE
With St Valentine just around the corner, this edition of Kraakpand will make your heart beat faster. But, like always, even if you’re not in the mood for romance, there’s hidden gems to discover.
HYDROGEN SEA
Ever since its inception two years ago, Hydrogen Sea has been sailing smoothly towards success. The duo from Brussels brings simmering electro pop, compelling enough for a tour with Gabriël Rios, a label deal, a debut EP entitled Court The Dark (Unday Records), and tons of critical acclaim.
BLOW
Blow combines sax and percussion in a remarkable new ensemble. Sax player Andy Dhondt and percussionist Vincet Caers share the same artistic ambition: taking contemporary chamber music to exciting new levels of execution, while exploring the boundaries of the classic, the experimental, the conventional, and the melodic or rhythmic.
LITTLE DOTS
The alternative, acoustic pop of Ghent-based band Little Dots is adorned by an angelic voice and a number of wind and string instruments. With A Clear Running Stream, their new record, they are all set to conquer the world.
Sophia Ammann (voice, guitars), Pablo Casella (guitars, backings), Tom Callens (woodwinds, backings), Bruno Vansina (woodwinds), Jon Birdsong (cornet & alto horn), Pascal Mohy (piano, keyboard), Robbe Kieckens (percussion), Simon Segers (drums)
REMI PANOSSIAN TRIO
After collaborating with Aldo Romano and Francesco Bearzatti, pianist Remi Panossian started his own trio. French radio station TSF Jazz called it ‘the revelation of the year’, and an extended world tour ensued. His fresh style, meticulous timing and wayward compositions make him one of the most eye-catching exponents of the new French avant-garde.
