Kraakpand #9 met o.a. The Sedan Vault & Transit

Transit

Transit emerged from the minds of a guitar trio and a drummer. In 2005, the group took part in the East Flemish Rock Competition without great expectations. They immediately advanced to the final. This third performance of their young career was rewarded with an honorable mention. Since then, Tranist won the demo poll and became one of the showcase bands for Play-It! of the Cactus Club and are part of Poppunt's 100% pure story 2006-2007. In November 2006 they independently released their first EP “Broadleaves vs. Conifers”. The EP was immediately picked up by Studio Brussels and Radio 1.

Transit treats you to “an energetic session of vast instrumental soundscapes, which explore both intimate and explosive atmospheres and will not leave you unmoved. A cozy summer evening is disturbed by rumbling in the distance, a flash of light rips open the sky and a lukewarm rain shower brings refreshment. Music full of (r)evolution.”

The Sedan Vault

The Sedan Vault, a guitar-bass-drum-synth band, has just released his debut album 'Mardi Gras Of the Sisypha'. An intense, colorful and noisy world in which things can go in any direction. It contains songs that unexpectedly break with melody and transition into thoughtful noise... Officially the record is labeled as 'innovative indie rock / postcore / prog rock'.

The reputation of The Sedan Vault slowly grew: in 2002 - then still under the name Mawkish - they finished among the last ten in Humo's Rock Rally. After numerous performances in the Benelux, The Sedan Vault has built up an amazing live reputation.

A School Of Quiet

A School of Quiet is good for “surprising and refreshing rock”. With groups such as Facedown and .calibre, singer Daniel and guitarist Niko have given an impressive number of performances over the past 10 years. Drummer Davy made his mark with groups such as Zornik, Tom Helsen and Nona Mez. When bassist Igor also joined the group, the various influences of the musicians turned out to be a golden mix. There is a persistent search for creative combinations, which makes the songs feel driven and inspired, but never intrusive. A touch of retro and a lot of power, that's how we like it...
