Kraakpand #6 met oa The Golden Glows & I Do I Do

I do I do

In January 2004, Stefaan Decroos (guitar/vocals), Jonas Tournicourt (bass/vocals) and Stephan Spriet (drums) said yes to each other word. I do I do thus rose from the ashes of former Humo's Rock Rally finalist Land. It became a marriage of unruly rhythms and loud minor chords, of clear melodies and deep bass sounds, of Dylanesque roots and cutting innovation. Call I do I do an indie rock band with a bluesy feel, loud 'n' melancholic. Since 2004, the group has been stringing together podium places at rock competitions. Their first full CD was recorded in 2006 and will soon be available in record stores.

The Golden Glows

The Golden Glows - one guitar, three radiant voices - blow the dust of long-gone melodies from the magical 1920s, supplemented with ancient traditionals and their own work. The group was founded in 2005 by Bram van Moorhem and is inextricably linked to Katleen Scheir and Nel Ponsaers, both singing students at the Antwerp Conservatory. The Antwerp trio presents a broad acoustic program with highly flammable torch songs, cowboy tunes, forgotten tearjerkers, energetic spirituals and thousand-colored blues. Warm harmonies that shine like a setting sun. The Golden Glows' debut EP will be released in 2007.

I Am A Horse

Singer/songwriter Jeroen Van Overbeke, baritone guitarist Lieven Joos and drummer Dirk Pattyn present a varied portion of music. Influences from JJ Cale, Warren Zevon and Sparklehorse, among others, are never far away. At the same time, their songs demonstrate a unique sound. They recently released their debut CD, with the melodious title 'Everybody knows I'm right but nobody agrees'. Our advice: just judge this Squat for yourself.
