Five bands from the most diverse genres drive the tension to the max by performing their songs alternately and randomly. This dazzling music show is put together by host Dirk Blanchart.

TINEKE POSTMA (NL) | jazz

Tineke Postma started playing the saxophone when she was eleven. From the Amsterdam Conservatory she moved to New York, where she studied with Dave Liebman, among others. In 2003 she released her first CD 'First Avenue', before she had even graduated. She toured with Dianne Reeves, won several awards in the Netherlands and performed on countless stages.

ERNST LÖW & DE BLOEDVOGELS | song

Welcome to the burgundy world of Ernst Löw & the Bloedvogels. Every heart is broken and deliriously healed here. Songs in Dutch of our own making, but also interpretations and adaptations by songsmiths such as Nick Cave, Ramses Shaffy, Lou Reed, PJ Harvey and a fragment of Raymond van het Groenewoud. The voices of Ernst Löw and Nikkie van Lierop guide you to a draughty corner in the city, a whispering place in a somewhat nasty forest, a boudoir that smells a bit bad, or a parking lot on the highway where one broken soul after another races madly by. . Ernst Löw & the Blood Birds make the urge for love and darkness contagious or at least singable.

T.NILE (CAN) | folk, soul, blues

'Tamara Nile was born with a banjo on her knee', according to the Canadian press. Singer and banjo player T. Nile grew up in a musical hippie family in the wilderness of Canada and toured Canada and the US with her father from the age of six. When she was 18 (and moved to Vancouver on her own) she blended her musical roots of zydeco, blues and folk with the urban sounds of pop and jazz. It is not without reason that she was named Canada's 'best emerging folk talent'.

LISBEE STAINTON (UK) | acoustic, song

"Credit where credit is due: it was Tom Robinson (once singer of gay anthem 'Glad to Be Gay', currently program maker at BBC Radio) who took Stainton's very first attempts from her MySpace page and put them in the airwaves. Not difficult to hear what he fell for: that agile voice, alternately vulnerable, enthusiastic and challenging. That flowing guitar playing, arranged on an instrument with eight strings. Lisbee-discovers-the-grown-up-world lyricism. And why not: her mysterious sexuality."

BROKEN GLASS HEROES | pop

Broken Glass Heroes is the project of Pascal Deweze (Sukilove) and Tim Vanhamel (Millionaire). Together they wrote the soundtrack for the satirical TV program Benidorm Bastards. The result is a collection of flawless pop songs in the better sixties Beach Boys / Beatles / Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young atmosphere. Single 'Let's not fall' can already be heard on the radios.
