AUSTIN

Austin's music can be described as powerful guitar rock, with a strong dose of pop and some snags in it. Song and melody are the most important ingredients of the music and the singing balances between harmonious and instinctive raw sounds. Austin is working on a debut album with producer Jo Francken. Even before Austin's first single, 'Second Skin', was officially released, it was already listened to 17,000 times on their Myspace. An impressive score, completely justified!

NEEDLE & THE PAIN REACTION

Needle & The Pain Reaction stands for energy. We no longer need to convince anyone who once saw them work live. The group started in 2000 and has its home base in the Ghent underground club Kinky Star. Their first full CD 'Obsessions of an epic womanizer' was released in 2004. In October 2006 the second CD 'Pheromone' was released. In March 2006, Needle & The Pain Reaction opened for legendary guitarist Chris Spedding in Toronto. That the world should be at their feet, they prove at Kraakpand!

HONG KONG DOLLAR

After his time at Dijenik and Lalalover - where he took care of some guitar parts - guitarist Ben Van Camp started working with Els De Schepper's backing band. But as befits a singer/songwriter - musician through and through - he has had his own band since 2006: Hong Kong Dollar. They describe their music as soulful and funky rock.

Producer David Poltrock (Hooverphonic, Monza, ...) describes their music as: “Nice grooves, wonderfully played and with the necessary wink”. Eric Smout from 5voor12 says: “Very simply constructed songs that stick. Top! Tongue in cheek and funky.” So worth discovering!
