JackoBond
What once started as a graduation project at the Kleinkunst department of 'Studio Herman Teirlinck' is now JackoBond . Under the wings of Tom Pintens (Zita Swoon, 2000 Monkeys, Flowers for Breakfast) and Stoffel 'El Tattoo del Tigre' Verlackt, Riet Muylaert took over recorded her first demos and soon ended up in the Nekka finals and on numerous stages.
JackoBond immediately stood out for an original mix of Dutch lyrics and idiosyncratic arrangements, accompanied by a 5-piece band with strings, rhythm section and synths. With her charms, both on and off stage, Riet managed to convince several top musicians to perform her music live. They had already made their mark with Wawadadakwa, the Internationals, etc. and are now willingly at their service...
Goo Darling
Goo Darling started in the summer of 2004 in Antwerp. AfterJo Verpoorten and Niné Cipolletti played together as Kitty Wu for several years, they went their separate ways at the end of the 1990s. However, in the winter of 2003 they bumped into each other again and started a new band together: Goo Darling.
Drummer Jan Vandevenne and bassist Wouter Mees
were brought in and soon Goo Darling's sound consisted of crunching guitars, back to basics riffs, a solid and funky bass line, tight drums and the 'in your face' voice of Niné. Soon a solid fan base rallied behind the raw songs. Their first demo reached the finals of various competitions such as Kortgerockt, Latent Talent and Humo's Rock Rally 2006. Freaky Age is a four-piece indie rock band from Ternat. After only a few performances they decided to send a demo tape to Humo's Rock Rally 2006. Freaky Age reached the final and, with an average age of 14 years, was also the youngest band ever in a Humo's Rock Rally final. Singer and guitarist Lenny is the son of Luc Crabbe and Nathalie Duyver, who were part of the rock band Bettie Goes Green a few years ago. p>
Freaky Age brings cutting guitar rock, but they do not want to limit themselves to a narrow genre. Lenny Crabbe's musical preferences range from Lou Reed, The Who and Jaques Brelto The Stokes. Rock Ternat described them in 2006 as "a band with more balls and talent than Real Madrid. This year they were a finalist in Humo's Rock Rally, and if we can believe the jury report, they will win with two fingers up their nose next time."
