Barslet & Bird
This duo does not feel bound by rules, genres or styles. Since the summer of 2006 they have been making funny, surprising music together. Call it electro-pop, house-inspired tunes, tripped-up musical poetry or dance tout court... It never gets boring. Tony Barslet merges digital and analog sounds into an exciting whole - his experience as a percussionist creates crazy rhythms. The Bird writes the majority of the lyrics and then delivers them in her unmistakable London accent. Tongue-in-cheek and full of humor, she describes everyday things.
The Shovels
The Shovels is a five-piece band from Hasselt around the sixties. fanatic Erik Debny who battles the degradation of international modern (music) culture. They bring a wonderful form of pop music like you've never heard before. The Shovels stand for 'feel-good songs' with a high sing-along content and energetic live performances that ooze energy. They won silver with their fingers in the nose at the last edition of Limbomania, played Pukkelpop's Wablieftent in 2006, and effortlessly transformed the Handelsbeurs stage into one big party.
Larsson< /strong>
Larsson has been around since September 2004 and almost immediately put together a first demo. One song, 'H', made it onto the Studio Brussels playlist and stayed there for several weeks. In early 2007, the quintet released their first full album, 'This Is'. It became a lively, fresh rock record, with a nice seventies feeling. Witty riffs, brutal guitars, deep bass, pumping drums and intense vocals... A recipe that works! Larsson sounds good on record, but he really comes into his own live!
