Kalben

With her original mix of folk, indie and acoustic pop, the Turkish singer-songwriter Kalben is a sensation in Istanbul. She gets inspiration from PJ Harvey, Sevinç Tevs, Nazan Öncel, David Bowie and Tom Waits. Now she brings her intelligent girl power to Ghent.

In 2014, Kalben was discovered on the Sofar Sounds platform, a performance with already over  5 million views on Youtube. Since then it has gone hard, with hits like Sadece and Saçlar, for which she won the most important Turkish music prizes.

Göksel

Singer Göksel gives Turkish pop music a retro touch. For more than twenty years this diva Scores high in the rankings. Her songs now belong to the Turkish collective memory, with the song Sabir as all time favorite.

After years as backing vocal with major Turkish stars like Sezen Aksu and Sertab Erener, Göksel released her own album Yollar in 1997. Eight acclaimed albums followed, on which she played her velvet voice perfectly.
