Juliette Lewis is best known for her extensive film curriculum. She broke through with her role in “Cape Fear” and later starred in “Kalifornia” - with her ex, Brad Pitt - “Natural Born Killers< /em>” and “From Dusk Till Dawn”. But Juliette Lewis is a woman who lives at 120 miles per hour. She did not want to continue to hide behind characters.
A music career seemed to be tailor-made for her since her youth. At the age of nine she listened to Steely Dan and The Who with her father. Later she discovered Black Flag and Iron Maiden with her brothers. The urge for a musical outlet grew over the years. In 2003 she founded Juliette And The Licks. In 2004, the group appeared on the “Vans Warped Tour” and opened shows for bands such as Turbonegro, Social Distortion and Courtney Love. In 2005 they roped in Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl to record some demos. He ultimately stayed for the entire “Four on the Floor” album.
The group toured at a hellish pace and gradually found its own identity. A confident, wonderfully arrogant attitude and pure adrenaline are central, with frontwoman Lewis as a dizzying nerve center. Anyone who has already seen Juliette And The Licks in action will not be disappointed by the semtex content of the band. Juliette kicks and stomps against everything conventional and rages on stage as if the world is nearing its end. The rock radiates from her. You have to see this to believe it. Rock chick Juliette rules!

Quotes Juliette
" The prototype for a female is that they're desirable, pretty to look at, predictable and safe. That's why my music is so important to me, it's the antithesis of that, I breaks the mould."
"Music's a visceral experience to me. It's right in you gut; it's not intellectual or analytical. You just hear some drums and you're in the tribe! You either feel it or you don't."
"The through line on this record [Four on the Floor] is desire, in its many forms. Desire of dreams, love, redemption and the consequences of that; the unfulfillment, the betrayal, the pursuit, the need."
