Jools Holland And His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra

Jools Holland was barely eight when the piano revealed its last secret to him. With every note he played since then, his name became more entrenched in the music world. Holland also became one of the UK's most popular TV presenters - musicians still jostle for appearances on his BBC show "Later with Jools Holland".

Yet he is best known as an energetic boogie-woogie, R&B and jazz pianist. At the age of fifteen, Jools formed the new wave pop group 'Squeeze' with Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford. Not much later he met drummer Gilson Lavis. With him, Jools founded the two-man formation 'The Jools Holland Big Band', which gradually grew into the current 18-piece 'Rhythm and Blues Orchestra'. A spectacular orchestra that puts the big band period in the spotlight with great conviction.

Jools Holland is very prominent behind the front lines of the music scene. Evidence of this is the impressive list of big names that appear on albums such as “Small World Big Band” and “More Friends”.

Be overwhelmed by the incredibly swinging Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.
