John Cale & Band

John Cale appears more vital than ever. In 2003 he achieved great acclaim with 'HoboSapiens', on which he did not avoid confrontation with electronics and beats. Two years later he is back in the fray with no fewer than two new albums. 'Process' is an instrumental soundtrack to C.S.'s latest film. Leigh and 'blackAcetate' is the new long player on which he merges past, present and future. He returns to his seventies 'Velvet' sound and mixes it with electro funk and R&B. On paper the genres are far apart, but under the masterful fingers of Cale himself they turn into an irresistible melting pot. The new songs are also not to be missed live.
