Possible traffic disruption in Ghent on February 17:
In March of this year, Joan Wasser (aka Joan As Police Woman) entered the Trout Studio in Brooklyn to work on her new album 'The Deep Field'. The fact that she continues to record in New York has a lot to do with the wide range of musicians that the city offers. There she again teamed up with Bryce Goggin, who also produced her two previous albums 'Real Life' and 'To Survive'. 'The Deep Field' is undeniably her best album to date. The soul oozes from the record and there is some heavy rocking every now and then. A guest at the Handelsbeurs for the third time in five years, she has now built up a strong fan base in Ghent. She claims the Handelsbeurs as one of her favorite halls. The album has just been released by PIAS and she will soon embark on a tour of the UK and Europe. She tours with Parker Kindred (drums & backing vocals) and Tyler Wood (keyboards).
SUPPORT: THE TWO
The story of The Two started with their song 'I wanna be with you again'. In 2009 they were noticed by the Wagram Label and signed. They immediately got to work and their first album has become a wonderful breath of fresh air. Their music has a remarkable - and rare - natural style. It is a genuine pleasure to discover these clear, simple melodies, delivered by two strong, elegant and harmonious voices.
