Nicknamed ‘the pearl’ of Jerez, flamenco singer Jesús Méndez learned the craft from master guitarist Gerardo Núñez. The Handelsbeurs already had the pleasure to hear Méndez with Aire Gitano, a collective from the gypsy districts of Jerez de la Frontera. He has become one of the most successful solo singers in Andalucia, at home in festive Flamenco Gitano and the more cerebral Spanish version.
