YOLDA
TURKISH, ARMENIAN AND BALKAN SONGS
Last year, in the context of 50 years of migration, several special collaborations were formed between Belgian and Turkish musicians . Old migration routes were given a new meaning, three traveling ensembles created a musical alliance. That experience left its mark.
One of those groups resumes the meeting under the name Yolda. The four musicians, who have already left some musical boundaries behind them, bridge the gap again with vulnerable songs and stirring violin solos.

The musicians of this evening were called 'group 1' within the project.
GAYE SU AKYOL
FRESH POP WITH A TURKISH EDGE
As one of the current pop stars in the Turkish firmament, Gaye Su Akyol gives hope to a new generation. She peppers her sparkling Western pop with Turkish traditional music and a touch of psychedelics. Eclectic at its finest. This immediately seems to be the perfect reflection of her colorful personality, in which she also intertwines different art worlds.
In 2014 she hit the big time with her debut Develerle Yaşıyorumgenters in her own country, now she is ready for the rest of the world. Singing organs, jazzy guitars that shoot out viciously and a driving rhythm section. Infectious, sultry and sensual.
Gaye Su Akyol (vocals), Ali Guclu Simsek (guitar), Emrah Atay (drums), Görkem Karabudak (bass & keyboard)
