Inara George Van Dyke Parks

'An Invitation' is Inara George's latest album. It is a dreamy, sensual album that owes its tranquility not only to her subtle voice, but also to the beautiful light arrangements of legendary songwriter Van Dyke Parks. His dazzling oeuvre includes the famous collaboration with Beach Boy Brian Wilson. Inara is the daughter of Little Feat frontman Lowell George, who was particularly good friends with Parks. The young Inara was assisted with advice and assistance by Van Dyke on her first steps in music. The collaboration for this record is the pinnacle of the special bond between the two.
