Drummer Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth) will not be touring along, contrary to previous annunciation. He recovers from an eye infection.

We know Howe Gelb, also called ‘the scruffy master of alt-country eclecticism’, from Giant Sand, even though the man has already had a successful solo career spanning over 20 years. He recently released The Coincidentalist. The regular band involved in his album clearly demonstrates the level of the musician we are dealing with here: M. Ward on guitar, former drummer of Sonic Youth Steve Shelley, the bass player of Giant Sand and ‘all around Gelb cohort’ Thøger Tetens Lund.

He invited a few more famous people to contribute to this album, including Bonny Prince Billy and KT Tunstall, to name but a few. Last but not least, the record was mixed by John Parish.

ERIKSSON DELCROIX

According to De Standaard, Eriksson Delcroix is the most beautiful country couple in Flanders. Bjorn Eriksson and Nathalie Delcroix each have an impressive musical history and now they produce an album together: For Ever.

Bjorn Eriksson is known for his creativity as a guitarist for Zita Swoon, Admiral Freebee and Maxom Blewitt. He also wrote the soundtrack of the Award-nominee The Broken Circle Breakdown. Nathalie Delcroix is one of the singers in the folk group Laïs and in Birds That Change Colour.

For Ever is released on February 10th by WasteMyRecords and V2. Several Belgian media (Humo and De Standaard) are looking forward to this event.
