HELMUT LOTTI & ROLAND'S SUPER ALLSTAR ENLIGHTENING MUSIC MACHINE
“I never thought there was a bluesman hidden in Helmut Lotti!” the newspapers rejoiced after the Dranouter Radio 1 sessions in 2011. None other than Roland Van Campenhout, the Belgian personification of the blues, invited a number of musical friends to join him in 60 years of blues, roots and rock 'n' roll heritage. You missed this Dranouter Radio 1 session 2011? No worries! Due to the great success, this gang decided to restart the entire project under the resounding name - hold on - HELMUT LOTTI & ROLAND'S SUPER ALLSTAR ENLIGHTENING MUSIC MACHINE. Together with harmonica wonder Steven De bruyn (The Rhythm Junks, El Fish,…), singer/guitaristPieter-Jan De Smet, string thrasher Elko Blijweert (Pawlowski), young talent Nevada Fellow (Ruben Focketeyn, yep, son of), star bassist Jasper Hautekiet and all-round drummer Jeroen Stevens (I Love Sarah) they bring you fantastic songs such as 'I'll sleep when I'm dead' by the unfortunately deceased Warren Zevon or 'Cindy Cindy' by the great Elvis Presley.
So don't expect a solo act from Helmut Lotti or Roland, on stage there is a collective of musicians who have one thing in common: their love for good music.
Please note: this unique project will be only resumed three times and passes past three quality houses: the Ghent Handelsbeurs (9 June), the Brussels AB (14 June) and De Roma in Antwerp (15 June).
