Ha'fest: Radio Crochet

The Ha’fest programme includes Radio Crochet, a major concert open to anyone and set on the Kouter square. You are a music fan or music lover? You play an instrument or sing on your bicycle? Then you should be there.

Gathered on the Kouter, you and all the other musical Ghent residents, tourists and passers-by will make up a big orchestra, led by theatre director and actor Wim Opbrouck. Peter Vermeersch (Flat Eath Society), Karen Willems (Inwolves) and Roland Van Campenhout (former Rory Gallagher Band member) rearranged evergreens like the 'Bolero' and 'Ya Mustafa' for an orchestra the size of the Kouter square.

The music is accessible to anyone: whether a skilled musician or a shower singer, everyone will find something to their liking. The Propere Fanfare (translated 'The Clean Orchestra') takes care of the warming-up and teaches everybody some dance moves.

Sing or make music with Roland: that’s something you won’t get to do every day.

The day will conclude with the BaBa Zula feat. Fred Frith / De Dolfijntjes XLconcert in Handelsbeurs.
