The rich Americana and roots sound of the Texan Guy Forsyth has been an established value in the blues world for years. With grainy, organic folk and blues he creates a raw and fascinating sound. Forsyth made his name with The Asylum Street Spranklers, an acoustic band whose music is rooted in early twentieth-century American music. There is no escaping Forsyth's powerful, sometimes thunderous voice. In 2005 he won, among other things, the Austin Music Award for Best Male Vocalist. In 2008, his latest album 'Calico girl' was released on his own label Small and Nimble Records. Which musicians will be coming to the Handelsbeurs will be announced soon. So keep an eye on this page.
