GRAY CELLS: MUSIC AND THE BRAIN

What happens in our brain when we listen to music? How can music enrich our brains? Are musicality and sense of time innate or learned? Are there cultural differences? What is the connection between music and emotions, and what effect does music have in rehabilitation and sports?

Henkjan Honing (professor of music cognition at the University of Amsterdam) and Marc Leman (professor of systematic musicology at Ghent University) will give a lecture and will then discuss with Eos editor Reinout Verbeke.
