Goeyvaerts Trio (string trio) & Quatuor Alfama (string quartet)

Webern in music and film

In the 1991 short-film ‘Anton Webern’, the Belgian film-maker Thierry Knauff sketches a moving portrait of this Austrian composer.

The Belgian Goeyvaerts Trio discovered the film in the archives of the Film Museum in Brussels. They are now screening it in full during their concert of music by Webern and his teacher Arnold Schoenberg.

For Verklärte Nacht from Schoenberg, Goeyvaerts Trio teams up with the Belgian string quartet Quatuor Alfama.
