Gavin Friday

Gavin Friday has been involved in the music scene in the broadest sense of the word for four decades. His story starts in 1977 with the post-punk group The Virgin Prunes and continues through painting, writing, cinema, soundtrack, theater and many impressive projects with other artists. For example, he created the soundtrack for the film 'In the Name of the Father' with good friend Bono and he previously appeared at the Handelsbeurs with Gavin Bryars with a project on Shakespeare's sonnets. Whatever Friday does, there is always an intense and theatrical atmosphere. His fourth studio album: 'Catholic' was released in April 2011. The record is about “waking up from a deep sleep, letting go and coming to terms with loss. And somewhere in the middle of that, you will find sparks of love, happiness and romance.”
