Take a seat along the railroad tracks and let yourself be surprised by the sounds that pass by and those that are created. What does the glass you’re drinking from sound like? What does it sound like when you drink or swallow? Früh Stück invites you to listen to the sounds around you. What exactly do you hear? What do objects sound like, what does your own body sound like, and when does sound actually become music?
During this surprising performance, the everyday becomes audible: rhythms emerge, a melody takes shape, a song is born. As you watch and listen, a landscape of sound unfolds. In Früh Stück, Minju Kim and Michael Lurse explore the world of the audible and create a playful, sensory composition in which you, as a spectator, naturally become part of the whole.
“Not only the actors, but also the children literally pricked up their ears and responded with keen attention. [...] A glass of water, crisp apple slices, and crunchy cookies. The audience could enjoy the experience with all their senses. [...] What’s fascinating about ‘Früh Stück’ is that the cleverly conceived sound collages also captivate people who previously considered themselves unmusical.” Sabine Begett - Westfälischer Anzeiger
