Back cover

'With her sharp ideas, decisiveness and big mouth, she is becoming a leading lady of the super-diverse society,' wrote De Morgen about Jamila Channouf. Sharp ideas, decisiveness and a big mouth: that sourdough is also in her debut as a writer.

Sandwichkinderen starts from her childhood in Borgerhout. These are the years in which her mother discovered the Zeeman on the Turnhoutsebaan, her father adored King Baudouin, she herself accompanied the old Mrs. Mortelmans - with difficulty walking and short of breath due to the many laborers of Bastos - to the election room and the named Sabrina scored a top hit with Boys, boys, boys.

A story about halal and haram, McDonald's sluts and seuten and dating with Moroccan and Belgian men. But above all, a lived-in, colorful story in which humor and commitment are the common thread.'
