Verhalen zonder woorden is a musical project created for the Klarafestival. As part of Klarafestival in the Care Sector, accordionist Sara Salvérius spent a week in residence at a residential care centre in Brussels.

During those days, she took the time to talk to residents and listen to their stories. This led to an intimate dialogue, with silences and sincere encounters. These moments inspired her to write new compositions for accordion and clarinet: fragile and tranquil, but also warm and intimate.

Clarinettist Jean-Philippe Poncin joins the project and adds an improvisational dimension. Together they travel to all kinds of places to perform these musical stories. During the concerts, Sara Salvérius talks about her inspiration, sheds light on the stories behind the music and actively involves the audience in listening and experiencing.
