Foyer Matinee: Massot / Florizoone & Horbaczewski

Some formations let the imagination run wild. Take for example tuba, accordion and cello. What sound world could they create? Add to the mix the names of such musicians as Michel Massot, Tuur Florizoone and Marine Horbaczewski, and you’re in for a treat.

Together, they form an acoustic trio with an unrivalled mastery of their instruments and a fresh interplay. The compositions by Massot and Florizoone sound like short stories and often have a cinematic scope. Impressive in the low register, the trio is also enthralling with its vibrant, clear sounds. The playfulness of their music is contagious.
