Eva Ayllón

The LA Times calls her the 'Tina Turner of Peru' and internationally she is known as the 'Queen of Landó'. Eva Ayllón is the face of Afro-Peruvian music. Already in the 1970s she became one of the world's most important ambassadors of musica criolla, the rich rhythmic music from the Peruvian coastal region and of the grippingly intense landó and exuberant festejo. With the southern fire in her genes and an indestructible voice, the flamboyant Eva Ayllón brings the Peruvian soul to Ghent.
