Esperanza Fernández grew up in Seville. Her father was a singer, her mother a singer and her aunt a dancer. This musical nest also ensured that Esperanza was already singing and dancing with her brothers at the age of nine. She was 16 when she toured Europe with Amargo, the show of choreographer and flamenco dancerMario Maya. In 1990 she made her final breakthrough thanks to her participation in 'A Oscuras' by Enrique Morente. Since then she has traveled around the world, collected prizes and can be heard in many recordings: nine albums (including with Dorantes and Camarón) and two CDs under her own name. Her second CD, Recuerdos, was awarded four prizes, including the prize for the best singing and the prize for the best flamenco CD of the year. Esperanza Fernàndez amazes with enormous singing qualities, her smooth and clear voice has only become fuller and richer over the years. Her surprising dancing talent will also easily keep you on the edge of your seat for an evening.
