WHERE BACH GOT INSPIRED
In his day, Bach was considered a difficult composer, who had become one with the complicated but clever principles of counterpoint. That is especially attributable to predecessors such as Buxtehude and Biber, with their penchant for multiple voices and their ingenious dances. Ensemble Masques, one of the up and coming Baroque ensembles of the moment, revisits their repertoire.
