New record as an ode to life

After her critically acclaimed debut in 2012 and numerous theatrical and musical wanderings, Ellen Schoenaerts presents her new release Vrijblijvend advies. With mesmerizing electropop and a sharp mind, she puts down another very strong album.

Schoenaert's debut Feiten was all about heartbreak and musically went back to heroes such as Jacques Brel, Nick Cave and PJ Harvey. For the new record, Benjamin Biolay's oeuvre in particular left a strong impression. It became an ode to life.

In the Handelsbeurs she steps on stage with bandmembers Liesa Van Der Aa and Ephraim Cielen, supported by saxophonist and keyboard player Alban Sarens, bassist Alan Gevaert (Deus) and guitarist Cesar De Sutter (Peenoise).
