El Vez: 'The Return of the Mexican Santa'

El Vez, the 'Mexican Elvis' and the top of the bill Elvis personification brings all his 'Merry Mexmas' hits and a series of brand new Christmas songs ('Viva Christmas'). All Christmas classics in one big party: a wild, crazy and amazing show. Reference points that should help describe the El Vez show are 'The Ike and Tina Turner Revue', a performance by Tom Jones in Las Vegas and Elvis Presley >'s comeback special from '68.

Expect half a dozen costume changes and a mix of pieces from at least 200 songs, which well exceed the Elvis repertoire. An example: in one of the El Vez medleys, the guitar riff from Santana's 'Black Magic Woman' is mixed with 'You Ain't Nothing But a Chihuahua' and an instrumental version of 'Gratitude' by < strong>The Beastie Boys, which flows into Rod Stewart's 'Maggie May', which then merges into 'En el Barrio' (aka 'In the Ghetto') and closes with the mandolin line from 'Losing My Religion' by R.E.M. This must give sparks. Crazy Christmas party? Anyone?
