Post-classical compositions for strings

The Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson created a unique, often melancholic sound with classical influences and electronics. Shortly before his death in 2018, he contacted the Brussels-based string ensemble Echo Collective for a new project.

In his memory they bring 12 Conversations With Thilo Heinzmann, twelve beautifully refined compositions, stripped of all electronic ballast.
