Drums Are For Parades

Especially for Record Store Day, Drums Are For Parades will play with an exclusive RSD release of their EP IMPERIVM. This is a collector's picture vinyl limited edition, released on the Musicmaniarecords label. And they're bringing along a roster of guest singers who also play on this record!

Drums Are For Parades present their record during a unique concert in the Handelsbeurs in the context of Record Store Day, the annual day of the alternative record store . Musicmania is launching an exclusive vinyl version of this record. On April 21, signing sessions and acoustic concerts will be organized during the day in Musicmania in stores. Apotheosis is formed by Drums Are For Parades and their guest vocalists in the Handelsbeurs.

The Ghent trio Drums Are For Parades, that is Wim Reygaert (guitar/voice), Piet Dierickx (drums/voice) and David Dumont(guitar). In 2007 they joined forces to make loud, aggressive, but above all very melodic and groovy music. They tap into different styles such as heavy metal, hardcore, punk and noise rock and mix them into a unique whole. At the end of 2011, the band released the single 'Virgin Powder Part 1'. This was the first track recorded in the Ancienne Belgique studio, with the legendary 'Silver Surfering Rudeboy' (Urban Dance Squad, Junkie XL) behind the microphone. Maria isn't a virgin anymore was formed in the fall of 2009. What started as a Jam project grew into an instrumental post-metal band with a impressive live reputation. In April 2010 the first self-titled EP was released. After the recordings in 2010, songs became more layered and more thought-out song structures were chosen. MIAVA has already shared the stage with many bands and gained some fame within the genre. In November 2010 they supported Maybeshewill. The second EP 'The Fall of Public Man' was released in August 2011 by Dice Industries and later on vinyl by Music Mania Records.
