Dona Rosa

LISTEN IN THE DARK

Dona Rosa sings the Fado straight up. As a blind singer, she spent many years struggling on the streets of Lisbon. In the meantime, she has grown from a beloved folk character to one of the most internationally celebrated Fado singers.

She draws upon her personal scars to get to the heart of the Fado. and she does it in darkness, together with the audience. Because when you cannot see, hearing becomes all the more acute.
