Dirty Sweet
From its inception in 2003, Dirty Sweet found a solid fan base among rock enthusiasts. Their success is partly due to the rich backgrounds of the group members. Guitarist Mark Murino and drummer Chris Mendez-Vanacore played with the indie rock band Jejune. Bassist Shaun Cornell made a name for himself with roots rock band Convoy and guitarist Nathan Beale came from Moods for Moderns. In lead singer Ryan Koontz, the group found the perfect frontman with a unique vocal style and an unlikely natural on stage.
Their debut album '…Of Monarchs and Beggars' proves that there is still hope for rock 'n' roll. Dirty Sweet embraces the rough, powerfully driving style from the golden rock era. Think of Led Zeppelin and The Black Crowes. Through musicianship and dynamic interaction with the audience, Dirty Sweet brings the perfection of their recorded work to life on stage. Your purest rock revelation!
Bjørn Berge
Bjørn Berge has a voice that sounds like gravel and sings as if the devil himself is hot on his heels. He is one of Norway's most respected musicians. This tireless, exceptional guitarist puts blues rock under high tension, with nothing more than his guitar and his right foot. Berge's music sounds thoroughly modern and urban. His new album 'Live In Europe' was released in early 2008.
On stage, Bjørn Berge is ruthless. He plays as if he has fifty pairs of arms and is driven by an insatiable musical curiosity and hunger. Bjørn Berge has rebellion and unrest in his blood. He is raw, hard, sometimes threateningly dark and always great in your face.
Popa Chubby
Popa Chubby is back! Bluesman Ted Horowitz already rocked the HA' in 2006 with unadulterated blues rock. Chubby's latest album 'Deliveries After Dark' was released at the end of 2007. The burning guitars, the thundering voice, the soul, the power; this is what Popa himself calls 'New York City Blues': “It's raw, urban, no bullshit type of music. Something real, down to earth, honest and true that goes for your soul.”
Popa Chubby is the imposing embodiment of a new type of American music that gives the roots of the blues a contemporary New York city spirit. This colossal and awe-inspiring blues bridges the gap between past and present. Welcome to Chubbyland…
