New Orleans' most famous and best Brass Band celebrates its 35th anniversary: ​​Dirty Dozen Brass Band is a funky collective that plays a pioneering role in the fusion of jazz with the modern influences of funk, R&B, Afro-Latino and pop. They became known for their innovative style, which they developed from the 1970s onwards and with which they revived the ancient brass band tradition of New Orleans that had fallen into the doldrums. Proof that they are not underestimated in the music world are their projects with, among others, Dr. John, Dizzy Gillespie, David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Norah Jones, the Black Crowes and The Neville Brothers. FATBACK BRASS BAND

Fatback Brass Band is a Ghent acoustic hip-hop orchestra consisting of wind instruments, percussion and vocals. Founded by ClickTrack Productions and consisting largely of musicians with a conservatory background, the band managed to generate a lot of attention in just a year. First through spontaneous street performances and later on some festival and club stages. The eleven-piece band mainly plays their own compositions. The beats are danceable, the melodies exciting, sometimes atmospheric and MC AftaWRDS brings everything together with his rhymes.

Fatback Brass Band is a pure live band. The great strength is their pure musicality, which needs no amplification. It must be strange, or the audience will remain silent at a Fatback performance. A StuBru presenter introduced the band as a 'well-oiled machine' during their debut on national radio. This is especially reflected on stage, and the collective continues to evolve and improve itself.
