On April 27, the HA' will reveal one of the best-kept music secrets of the moment. Behind the ominous name Dirtmusic lies an astonishingly strong trio of musicians. Multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriterHugo Race was a founding member of Nick Cave's 'Bad Seeds' and tours with the Berlin collective The True Spirit >. Chris Eckman is the frontman of The Walkabouts, was noticed with Chris & Carla, Midnight Choirand Tosca and has collaborated on two albums by the Williard Grant Conspiracy. Chris Brokaw previously made his expertise on guitar and drums available to bands such as Come and Codeine and can be heard on records by Steve Wynn, Pullman, the Willard Grant Conspiracy and many others.

Dirtmusic is such a group that guarantees pure quality. They describe their music as urban folk blues. We call it craftsmanship in good Americana tradition. The tempo of this desert music rolls on with a hint of loneliness and despair in it. The sporadic percussion and sparse banjo complete it. Sink back into the HA'ndelsbeurs seats, immerse yourself in the music and feel the grains of sand crunching between your teeth...
