Aaron Perrino, frontman of the defunct group 'The Sheila Divine', is back. Although his new group Dear Leader is absolutely not a copy of The Sheila Divine, fans of the better rock work will undoubtedly find what they are looking for. A hint of U2 influence and a dose of Tragically Hip atmosphere can be recognized in the music of Dear Leader. Perrino's usually high and emotional, but very strong voice now rises above the musical platform more than with The Sheila Divine. This gives the songs a vulnerability that begs for goosebumps. Aaron Perrino proves that rock still flows like adrenaline through his veins and does not shy away from kicking some - American - shins with his lyrics. Belgium is close to Perrino's heart. And vice versa too, as it turns out. Luc De Vos called his English-language sidestep 'Atomic Buffalo' after The Sheila Divine's biggest hit and Perrino can be heard on Arsenal's latest CD. Moreover, he has never had as many fans in America as in small Belgium. Dear Leader will be happy to introduce you to their compelling rock during this concert.

With a support act like Cream & Spices is set in stone for Dear Leader. The music of this West Flemish rock trio sounds like “melodic guitar rock with a British phlegm and traces of the rich American power pop tradition.” Especially the beautiful harmony vocals of guitarist Steven Bossuyt and bassist Tom Coghe give the songs extra character. For their self-titled debut album, they enlisted the help of producer Jo Francken, who previously worked with Janez Detd, Noordkaap, Monza, Zita Swoon and Admiral Freebee. Since 2001 they have gained a lot of stage experience and have always been feared opponents at rock competitions such as Westtalent and Humo's Rock Rally. This can count as a warm-up!
