The City of Ghent, together with the non-profit organization De Wonderfluit and OVSG, is setting up a first Music Primary School for children from 2.5 to 12 years old. Here 'music' forms the core of the pedagogical-didactic action. The Wonder Flute aims to give children with a heart for music the opportunity to develop to their full potential. She wants to take their talents seriously and develop them in a child-friendly manner. The school will open its doors from September 1, 2009.
Anyone who wants to know more about it is welcome to this introductory day.
You will receive continuous information from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and at 8 p.m. folk group Kadril presents its new CD.
The Handelsbeurs fully supports this project. Anyone who comes to Kadril's concert supports the non-profit organization Friends of the Wonder Flute by purchasing the instruments for the orchestra class.
KADRIL
< p>Release of the new CD 'Mariage'After almost thirty years of performing and two acclaimed projects around our national "Spanish connection" (La paloma negra) and the wave of emigration to the United States (The Other Kust), Kadril is currently returning to her own music. "We also looked back on our evolution during the nekkanacht: from traditional folk group to folk rock band, from heavy folk rock to 'listening folk' (Pays), from indigenous music to strange influences."
A new program, in which the arrangements are drawn from all the experience gained in recent years: on occasion it can be a bit rougher, sometimes modesty is required, at other times traditional elements come to the fore. The songs and dances are current and alive, but always steeped in authenticity, and make use of the power that time has given to this music and lyrics.
Mariage van Kadril brings you new music from seasoned musicians with for for the first time as a central theme: love.
