Two years ago, De Piepkes open a can of fresh songs. It goes without saying that a first look is often followed by a second. The fact that fresh songs do not belong in a can, on the other hand, perhaps needs a demonstration.

Demonstrating is a right and demonstrating well is an art. In Africa people dance during the demonstration. A demonstration is sometimes a parade, festive and loud, but also a meeting with speeches and songs and noise. A kind of carnival for charity. There are many reasons to demonstrate, such as the right to be strange.

And the Piepkes happen to be fervent demonstrators. Demonstrate with the Piepkes, make banners, bring megaphones and of course put on a strange hat.

Frederik Sioen, Roland Van Campenhout and Pieter-Jan De Smet call themselves 'de Piepkes' because they think it should be that way. Armed with Dutch songs from their own knapsack and a mouth full of heart, they sing about the world from their childish imagination.
